Hard drive anticlimax and replacement - presently can't rest?

Replaced the rugged drive in my Compaq EVO N610c laptop and put surrounded by the first of 2 recovery disks. Error message say recovery disks are XP and sticker on bottom of piece of equipment says Windows 2000 be loaded. What can I do??

Or, you could just install from a regular Windows XP installation disk set after download the drivers for you laptop and install them. You may need to download the grating drivers from another computer and burn them to disk to install on laptop so that you can finish installing the remainder of the drivers from the web on the laptop.

Go ahead and do it, I have done that plenty of times on three separate computers and they never asked me for the Product Key, But MAKE SURE THEY BELONG TO YOUR MACHINE it isn't typical that that happens. If it doesn't belong to it, you might install it near the wrong drivers that make your internet, and nouns work. SO double check! or just bring a copy of windows me and install the drivers yourself
