Dual core processor speeds, what's virtuous to enjoy?

Im getting a untried notebook and have no clue what the 1.6 GHz vs 1.80 GHz vs 2.0 GHz ability. I am not going to do gaming or anything like that, basically take resume in class, surf the network, upload pictures etc maybe some editing and creating movies. also listen to music etc. which speed is the best to own for stuff like that. is here one thats better to have when you enjoy windows vista home premium and speak 120-160 GB hard drive and any 1 or 2GB memory. thanks

The Ghz money gigahertz. 1 gigahertz means the chip voltage source (the clock) cycles 1 billion times per second. So, the clock of a 1.6 GHz processor cycles 1.6 billion times per second. The more cycles per second, the faster the chip can achieve calculations. However, some chips are more reorganized; they get more done per clock cycle. Clock speed is not the final word surrounded by computing power.



A dual-core processor has two processors. They divide the work among them, so a dual-core 1.6 GHz processor can do twice as much work as a single-core 1.6 GHz processor. However, here is one caveat: A single application thread cannot be split among the two cores.



Any of the chips you described would be adequate for your uses, beside the 2.0 GHz chip having the upmost performance contained by demanding applications.
The more the better.
