Having much probs beside my wifes up to date hp printer beside her vista laptop?

my wife have laptop with win vista,we hold just brought a hp printer near it came a disk for the printer for vista users,so we followed the intuctions and loaded it .after a while it said that every entity was done and dusted geared up to use that was ok,printed something bad great job it be.switched laptop on another day go to print off it again printer not reconised.enjoy tried loading it again no luck.have tried loads of things but still will not print.any of you pious peeps out near had any of equal probs please can you help.appreciation

I would just reinstall the printer. Make sure you uninstall the drivers from Control Panel > Programs and Features and delete the printer from Start > Printers afterwards if compulsory. Restart the computer with the printer not connected and reinstall the drivers. Do not respond to any window prompts to let window install the drivers; let the compact disc install the drivers.
