For adjectives intends and purpose, you CAN'T upgrade the video card on a laptop. You can't improve it any. Your built-in Intel 950 is a directx 9 card not directx10 and it's not a good one any. A built-in Nvidia or ATI is much better. You're pretty much stuck with it. It should work fine for mundane usage except for PC games that require a more advance card.



EDIT: The Intel 950 is noticeably NOT a directx 10 chip. You must have a different video card on your laptop. You can play directx 10 games beside a directx 9 card but you won't get the directx 10 features.
I can't enunciate i'm 100% sure, but most laptops that have Intel graphics cards are not upgradeable.

if you DO find and buy a grapics card, you will not be able to install it yourself.
The video card on laptops, except surrounded by rare cases, cannot be changed. The video card is soldered onto the motherboard and cannot be removed and replaced.

You can't promote your graphic card on your laptop but in that are things you can do to help games run a touch better. Disable Antivirus, antipyware, screensaver and firewall while playing games. Disable all the unecessary services from running. Defrag your knotty drive, clean out adjectives your temp files, run the game at the minumum resolution and disable most of the special effects for the activity. Adding more RAM will help too.
Oh you can't replace it at adjectives, there should be some approach to upgrade it try calling and asking the company.

You cannot replace a graphics card on a laptop. It is integrated on the MB. You are basically stuck near what you got.
You could try a speedy fix with some RAM, but you may be out of luck near the graphics card.

First, be paid sure you have the drivers installed. Start>Settings>Control Panel>System> Imaging Devices. If near is a red sign or a yellow one here is a problem with the driver or the device. If it seem OK the go to Yahoo Messenger> Messenger> My Web cam. Select from the index the proper device.

Toshiba might be a better shot, not au fait with them. Dell builds a right machine but simply with the nitty-gritty, small amount of ram, small easier said than done drives, etc. If you want one that will do somrthing and be more expandable, you'll pay for it. They're installing vista central and premium in machines near only 512 mgs run into, won't work worth a s**t.

I've have almost every brand of computer. Don't buy dell. They suck! You buy a bottom of the line laptop from dell you are going to own to sink hundreds into within a year or completely stop using it. (Which is what I have to do) After the dell I bought a Toshiba. Let me tell you it is wonderful and the customer service is preposterous. My motherboard fried within 6 months but they salaried for everything. shipping charges, new motherboard, etc. They are fabulous! I'm never buying anything else ever again.



My Toshiba cost around 1,000 but I get a bundle pack, with printer and adjectives that junk..However I know they are selling ones in a minute around 700 that have give or take a few the same amout of power mine does. I use mine for everything.



I'm a full time college student and I use my computer day after day for hours on end. Toshiba's are built to second and by far outshine the competion!

It has to be a moral multitasker, decent hit. a good sized tricky drive and good battery-operated life.
