Hey. so I'm intersted surrounded by buyin a exotic graphics card 4 my toshiba laptop, but i can't come across 2 find one anywhere
For adjectives intends and purpose, you CAN'T upgrade the video card on a laptop. You can't improve it any. Your built-in Intel 950 is a directx 9 card not directx10 and it's not a good one any. A built-in Nvidia or ATI is much better. You're pretty much stuck with it. It should work fine for mundane usage except for PC games that require a more advance card.
EDIT: The Intel 950 is noticeably NOT a directx 10 chip. You must have a different video card on your laptop. You can play directx 10 games beside a directx 9 card but you won't get the directx 10 features.
I can't enunciate i'm 100% sure, but most laptops that have Intel graphics cards are not upgradeable.
across the world, laptops are not upgradable.
if you DO find and buy a grapics card, you will not be able to install it yourself.
The video card on laptops, except surrounded by rare cases, cannot be changed. The video card is soldered onto the motherboard and cannot be removed and replaced.

AFTER you turn it upside down and consent to it drain for a while, take a coat dryer and dry anything that is still moist. The single problem I foresee is the smell. You can't promote your graphic card on your laptop but in that are things you can do to help games run a touch better. Disable Antivirus, antipyware, screensaver and firewall while playing games. Disable all the unecessary services from running. Defrag your knotty drive, clean out adjectives your temp files, run the game at the minumum resolution and disable most of the special effects for the activity. Adding more RAM will help too.
Oh you can't replace it at adjectives, there should be some approach to upgrade it try calling and asking the company.

First, be paid sure you have the drivers installed. Start>Settings>Control Panel>System> Imaging Devices. If near is a red sign or a yellow one here is a problem with the driver or the device. If it seem OK the go to Yahoo Messenger> Messenger> My Web cam. Select from the index the proper device.

You buy a bottom of the line laptop from dell you are going to own to sink hundreds into within a year or completely stop using it. (Which is what I have to do) After the dell I bought a Toshiba. Let me tell you it is wonderful and the customer service is preposterous. My motherboard fried within 6 months but they salaried for everything. shipping charges, new motherboard, etc. They are fabulous! I'm never buying anything else ever again.
My Toshiba cost around 1,000 but I get a bundle pack, with printer and adjectives that junk..However I know they are selling ones in a minute around 700 that have give or take a few the same amout of power mine does. I use mine for everything.
I'm a full time college student and I use my computer day after day for hours on end. Toshiba's are built to second and by far outshine the competion!

My laptop seems to be dying a slow, prickly death! Every time I turn it on I grasp a blue screen, and at the bottom it have STOP:0x0000007E(0xC0000005,0x8... and that I need to disable BIOS? My interrogate is, can this be fixed easily, or should I walk and buy and new computer?

Hi, plenty of question like this one i know. I necessitate a laptop before conservatory blah blah you know the drill. It has to be below $1000. It has to be a moral multitasker, decent hit. a good sized tricky drive and good battery-operated life. By reinstalling the OS, it will reinstall all of the XP features that come on your laptop, including Internet Explorer. The installation will take awhile, but it should put everything stern where it belongs. Best of luck.

Copy a full-size file into another folder - don't purely move it, actually copy it and listen for the devotee. If you don't hear the fan, you entail to get on to Dell and find out where on earth you can get it repaired.
If you do hear the aficionado, maybe some secondary cooling is required. You can get a cooling plate that sits beneath your laptop and keeps the heat down.

Help! HP notebook problem?
The tablet along the bottom o my HP notebook pc have gone very low. I can return with the little arrow to turn into a double headed arrow, but can not verbs it up.
Therefore, I can't find the start button, can't get into the programs on my notebook. So, can't turn the pc bad, can't hibernate it. Cant use any programs that are in my knotty drive.

Help beside processor speed?
I am looking to buy a laptop for college (engineering student). I can buy one next to an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz or one with a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.40 GHz. The latter is obviously more expensive. Would it be worth the extra cost (several hundred dollars) to buy the 2.40 GHz. Would I notice a big difference for everyday computing use. Other than the processor the two are one and the same, both have 2 G of RAM.

So my laptop is a Toshiba Tecra 9100 and have a mouse that is pretty much only just a dot in the middle of the grand piano. To use it you have to put your finger on it and toggle. It's pretty simple. But presently it is moving on its on, sometimes won't move at all, or it will disappear past its sell-by date of the screen. How can I bring back it fixed?
I know its not the battery because i plug it contained by to outlet power and take out the freestyle and it still does it. HELP!?

I accidentally dropped my laptop something like a month ago. Well, every time I put the battery surrounded by, the laptop goes sour. However, it works fine as long as I don't put the battery surrounded by and use the AC current. Most likely it is virus related.
Your best bet would be to do a fresh reinstall of window to solve the issue. There are other ways, but they will take more time and produce more headaches than simply reinstalling.

My best advice to you is to download Parallels, and put Windows Vista on it. It should work finely for the most subdivision. I would simply use the Mac hardware to run it on, and keep Windows lying on OS X. OS X is just simply the dais OS that you shouldn't have to bother next to.
Or better yet, freshly simply start over. Return the Macbook, and buy a high-end/mid-range PC for less, beside Windows, anti-virus program, and high-speed internet. That's really all you stipulation to have a unbelievably good performing computer.
I use a Sony Vaio, near Windows Vista, Live OneCare, high-speed AT&T internet, and everything is just plain bliss on my side. No problems at adjectives. I don't use my Macbook Pro often, and I own no problems with using a extremely good PC.
Plus, I budge to college, and everybody admires my sexy designed Sony Vaio. It even have some Macbook owners looking at mines. It's really that good. Life here is plain wonderful.

Since this is built-in and can't be upgraded afterwards, you own to invest in a devout one up front, and unfortunately most unit with better-than average video are higher-end models beside faster processors.
These days almost every laptop has wireless skill and even if you find one that doesn't, a wireless card is only $50.
Everex have some notebooks near good specs at lower prices than other brands, that's probably your best bet. I've also included a intertwine to CyberPower PC, they have some pious gaming laptops- not that cheap, though.

It sounds close to your laptop is overheating. Are you running demanding processes like video gaming? Make sure your laptop is getting plenty of nouns. If you know how, open the travel case and clean out the inside from dust, etc.. near a can of air. Specifically, verbs off the heatsink. Also, you should be running more than 512KB of RAM. This might assist. You could also buy a docking station to help hold on to it cool. Good luck!

It sounds close to your laptop is overheating. Are you running demanding processes like video gaming? Make sure your laptop is getting plenty of nouns. i have a dell c600 that broke, but the hard drive is still fine, so i want to use it within my new c610 but when i try to boot up it tell me there is a problem beside something about the configuration. i sort of figure this would happen, but i dont know what i can do to fix it as after i receive said error i cannot do anything but shut down. i can still access the boot and bios menus tho.

hold you reinstalled your operating system or you just plugged surrounded by your hard disk and start it? you see, when you install the operating system, it will also install the drivers needed by your system's hardwares. if those hardwares suddenly changed and you didn't reinstall the os, probability are, you will get your configurations pretty messed up.

Last week i delete nortons and restarted my laptop and when turned it back on it said i needed to put setup cd-rom that come with laptop i did not enjoy so i called dell he said on boot up eyeshade press F8 and the computer went to ultimate configuration and works but now i cant re-download anything big-hearted weird... is near another way to acquire laptop back to ingenious settings with out setup cd-rom???

I suggest you a much better way. Buy a special LCD Cleaning Gel. You spray the gel to the LCD surface, consent to the gel to dry, then you elevate up the dry gel which also take the dirt away.
Your LCD will be especially clean lacking a single scratch.

I didn't bother dealing with it so i returned it and bought a mac book. But I would recommend buying or using demo Anti-Virus/spyware software. I niggardly it would be an idiot software problem to make on HP's train so i would bet its a silly virus to piss people sour. Oh Yea, if you're a good techy, hit ALT+CTRL+DEL simultaneously and look at the processes running. Look for the proccesses running below user (ignore the system processes, you mess with these and you're screwed) and if you see a suspiciouse one look it up on the internet, lately poke around.

hi i am going to mcmaster university and i a short time ago got my timetable and i be kinda shocked and scared. most of my classes are 10 min apart.

for example: mondays i enjoy (starting from 9:30AM) bio after 10min i have math after 10 min i hold psychology after 10 min i got math tutor after 10 min i get physics. see that?? i got similar to 5 courses all 10 min apart. this is on monday. tuesday is really angelic with close to 1 hr diff. wednesday i got 3 courses simply 10 min apart thursday i got resembling 2 courses 10 min apart and friday is fine also. and term 2 is almost similar to possession 1 and monday being the nightmare.

for example: mondays i enjoy (starting from 9:30AM) bio after 10min i have math after 10 min i hold psychology after 10 min i got math tutor after 10 min i get physics. see that?? i got similar to 5 courses all 10 min apart. this is on monday. tuesday is really angelic with close to 1 hr diff. wednesday i got 3 courses simply 10 min apart thursday i got resembling 2 courses 10 min apart and friday is fine also. and term 2 is almost similar to possession 1 and monday being the nightmare.

Ok here is the promise. My friend gave me her elderly Dell Latitude CPi laptop. She said the thing be too old and could go and get it too work. Well recently , I enjoy gotten it to work somewhat. I defragmented it, cleaned up the registry, ran virus, spyware, worm and adware software. The CPU usage be 100% but after all of that I get it down to between 4 and 12 %. The thing individual has 5.6 Gigs of harddrive space contained by it and 4.5 of those gigs are used up...I checked and there are virtually no other files on within. So whats eating up adjectives the memory, besides the factory software thats on it (i.e the os and such). Im going to try and get on the internet near it today. Thanks guys!

I own a Compaq Presario F560US and I accidently flashed the BIOS. I am not sure what BIOS is on there presently or what BIOS was nearby before.
Now when the Laptop Starts, it have one long beep, followed by two short beep, and the LCD never shows anything.
When I put a CD contained by it seems to work...I hear the drive start spinning...I'm a moment ago saying it seem everything is working but the screen.

It have an Intel Core Duo processor T2300E (1.66GHz, 667MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache) 512MB DDR2, and built in illustrative media accelerator.
i involve everyone opinion in the order of it. what is the best Graphic card? and should i upgrade my RAM? please feel free to suggest.
P.S i use my laptop for most things close to gaming, internet chatting..etc.

There's something wrong... Everytime I connect receiver to my MacBook the sound dies out. It last for about 2-3 minutes and later it fades out. I run out up having to help yourself to out my headphones and putting them posterior in. I own no problem with the built within speakers... Does anyone know how i can fix this? I've got norton that come with the laptop (bought second month) and spyware s+d and ad-aware
Would could be causing this?

Some programs periodically do auto backups to the easier said than done drive.
Programs can be scheduled to run within the background and must access the not easy drive - like some Windows keep programs for example (defrag and others from scheduled tasks)
I doubt if it is spyware congregation information, but update and scan your computer with your Norton Anti-virus program, consequently
update and scan with Spybot Search and Destroy, and finally
download, update and scan beside a program called Ad-aware. from Lavasoft.

sounds like you any have a complex drive issue or a power supply issue. I can't tell from your description. If you plug the system within and you can actually make clear to there is power getting to the system later I would say your rugged drive is dead. And if your trying to reload the OS and the computer does not certify there is a strong drive installed then perceptibly your hard drive is toast and wishes to be replaced.
However, if you can not see/hear the system starting (check for power light as well) afterwards you have a power supply issue which surrounded by most cases with a laptop requires a fresh motherboard. Most laptop manufactures in a minute put all the peripherals onto the motherboard - ie: video, audio, etc...

its logical name is PCMIA cardbus. this is a laptop's expansion slot. close to as a desktop, but a desktop uses a PCI slot, and more of them! you can buy several pc cards that do tons different things. now almost everything is going to usb so u can use it on both a laptop/desktop.

laptop category of go into the freeze mode when it start. you can see the glass logo and when i tilt the base of laptop or apply pressure to hand the touch mouse on the laptop then it starts loading the operating system. but sometimes it works fine. i enjoy run the recovery disk and loaded the software but it still give me problem.

PCMCIA - eject button, Very fussily press it in and move it roughly a bit. They can be a bit fiddley to get posterior in.

That sounds resembling the button to remove the card i.e. wireless card. there is usually a plastic card nest to the button (that does nought other than close the space up), push that surrounded by and the button
